Staff: Heaven-Sent Fireworks In Loving Memory of Robert Budgeon

This weekend, we marked and celebrated the life of Robert Budgen, son of Moya our Charity Liaison Officer, and nephew to Russell Beswick, CEO of The Park Lane Group.
We gathered to scatter Robert’s ashes at Beachy Head in Eastbourne and set off a beautiful memorial fireworks display containing his ashes; a wish that was expressed by him.
Robert was just 33 when he passed away from cancer. Due to Covid restrictions at the time, it wasn’t possible for people other than immediate family to attend his funeral.
To date, over £8,400 has been raised for The Royal Marsden Hospital where he was cared for, thanks to a dedication page established by his partner Sian and the generosity of his many friends and family. The heart-warming comments and memories left for him pay tribute to a fantastic young man and son to proud Moya and sister Jade.
On behalf of everyone at The Park Lane Group we are adding to this magnificent total to take it to £10,400 for The Royal Marsden Hospital.
R.I.P Robert
In Memoriam …
“You’ll always be my little brother. I’ll never forget your laugh or big heart. Love you always xxx”
“I love and miss you so much Robert. Til we meet again.”
“You will always be in my heart. I love you and miss you so much. I will be waiting for my head poppy squashy cuddle when we meet again.”
“Rocket man Robert”
Robert Budgen left this world at such a young age,
If his life was a book, it wasn’t time for the last page
Robert requested his ashes be blasted up to the sky
This sums up the appetite for life and energy of this guy
Just like the popular song by Elton John
The memory of Rocket Man Robert lives on
RIP Robert.
