Tipped for a Good Day

Brighton Races 2017

The Park Lane Group and guests joined at Brighton Racecourse on Monday 18 September for a fantastic day of hospitality, racing and fundraising.

Guests were invited to guess which horse would place first in each of the day’s seven races. Emma Saxby of Funnell & Perring Solicitors was the lucky winner and took home a fabulous Fortnum and Mason hamper.

She is pictured bottom left with Sue McGreevy MD of The Park Lane Group (centre) and our very own tipster for the day.

Renowned trainer John Gallagher also shared his knowledge with our guests, providing some great tips on several races, and saw his horse ‘Andalusite’ win the 4.45pm race.

The ‘3.45pm Park Lane Group Handicap’ saw favourite Marie of Lyon place first, and with the racing over our guests’ attention turned to an impromptu auction.

Sam Kinloch from Clive Emson Auctioneers took to the mic and auctioned an England 1966 replica shirt signed by Sir Geoff Hurst and a Chelsea shirt signed by Chelsea team players, plus a Brighton & Hove shirt signed by all the players from last season’s promotion-winning side.

Our thanks go to Greg Bradley of Gap Solutions who kindly donated the Brighton shirt and the generosity of Trainer John Gallagher and Adam Upton of Eastbourne Property Shop for their generous, winning bids for the items.

Together they raised £460 which The Park Lane Group will match, bringing the total to £920 which we will be donating to Eastbourne charity You Raise Me Up.

30 YearsWe’re proud to be celebrating 30 years this year, having grown from a single property development in 1987 to become one of the largest independent housebuilders in the area. Managing everything from property sales to our rental and maintenance service makes us a little different, but we believe it is our commitment to remaining local and serving the communities in which we also live and work that really sets us apart.
