The Help to Buy ISA

Our new developments, such as Harwood Heights in Hastings and Rossetti Gardens in St. Leonards-on-Sea, are registered with the Government backed Help to Buy Equity Loan scheme which means eligible buyers can proceed with a low deposit of just 5%.
Since its launch three years ago, more than 80,000 properties in the UK have been bought via the Equity Loan scheme. And our recent High Breezes development just off The Ridge in Hastings contributes to these statistics.
We’ve been proud to welcome a number of first time buyers onto the property ladder at High Breezes thanks in part to the Help to Buy scheme which meant they only had to raise a 5% deposit and secure a 75% mortgage; with the remaining 20% provided for by an equity loan which is interest free for the first five years.
New Help to Buy ISA
A new Help to Buy ISA has also now launched which can boost prospective buyers’ savings by as much as 25%
For every £200 saved into the ‘Help to Buy: ISA’ the Government adds a £50 bonus with a maximum bonus available of £3,000. To find out more head to the Help to Buy website for details.

Here’s what Abbie, a happy new homeowner at High Breezes has to say about the Help to Buy scheme and her new home.
“The Help to Buy equity loan enabled me to get on the property ladder with a lower deposit and will also help me keep my monthly mortgage repayments down. This has helped me to not only get on the property ladder but to purchase a lovely property of higher value than I would otherwise have been able to afford. The loan is easy to apply for – especially with the help of a broker who will complete the paperwork for you! – and the response is quick and straightforward. Many mortgage providers happily work with the equity loan scheme and I was still able to choose from a range of mortgages to find the one that best suited my circumstances. The Help to Buy equity loan is a fantastic way to get your feet firmly on the first rung of the property ladder in a market that is increasingly challenging for first time buyers. New build properties are also an excellent, practical choice for first time buyers so I often recommend the scheme to friends who are trying to buy their first property!”
