Juli’s Moonwalk for Breast Cancer Care

“Thank you so much to The Park Lane Group for your generous support. It helped me to raise a whopping £753 towards vital breast cancer causes.”
Juli (pictured centre) has just completed the Moonwalk in London with friends Anna and Suzanne to raise money for breast cancer research.
“There was a fantastic atmosphere on the night and so many great outfits – nearly everyone had gone to town decorating their bras – all 15000 of them!!!
“Clapham Common was the starting point for the Moonwalk, with a pink-tented village with massages, tattoos, aerobics, dancing and more ahead of the night. Our trio, #funkygroovers, set off at 11.45pm for our journey through the streets of London. We were extremely lucky with the weather, it was a perfect walking night – no rain! We circumnavigated Battersea Power Station and walked past lots of iconic London landmarks, including The Shard, Big Ben, St Paul’s Cathedral, Wellington Arch and The London Eye. Many were specially illuminated with pink light to mark the occasion.
“The route was lined with amazing volunteers at every turn, encouraging and cheering us on as we walked. We arrived back at around 5.15am to see the sun rising over the mist on Clapham Common where we were presented with medals and had a well-deserved breakfast! We felt a real sense of achievement and it was great to feel part of something so worthwhile. Also, that we had contributed in some small way to support this brilliant cause. Nothing would be achieved without generous sponsorship, so a huge thank you to you all.
“Walk the Walk has raised more than £121 million since 1996 to fund research into breast cancer and to help improve the lives of those living with the disease.” You can find out more at breastcancercare.org
Well done Juli.
