Giveaway Cheer for the Association of Carers

When the local Association of Carers applied to The Park Lane Group Community Giveaway for funding to ‘champion our Carers and their Cared-for with a Christmas meal’ we were only too pleased to help.

The Association of Carers provides free volunteer-led support for unpaid carers throughout East Sussex. Volunteers sit with carers’ cared-for person, enabling them to get out, and provide additional services such as computer-based help at home and a talk and support service aimed at combatting the isolation many carers struggle with.

This Christmas the charity will lay on a Christmas meal and, with funding from The Park Lane Group, will cater for 33 people from the Hastings and Rother area.

The Park Lane Group Community Giveaway has now closed to further applications and seen over £10,000 donations to individuals, groups and charities in the local area.
