Give Away to Fund Free Healthy Meals

The Education Futures Trust

The Education Futures Trust is a charity that works to improve the life chances of children, young people and vulnerable adults. It is also another organisation to have benefitted from The Park Lane Group Community Give Away.

We have pledged £650 to Our Cafe @Ore which will enable it provide 200 healthy meals for people in need. According to Carole Dixon, Chief Executive of the Education Futures Trust, and who applied to the fund:

‘The Cafe provides low cost, nutritious meals for the community using excess food from local supermarkets and FareShare. We wish to fund free, healthy meals to those identified as hungry and for those aged under 7 years.”

The Park Lane Group Community Give Away has so far received in excess of 80 different applications and granted money to a wide range of community groups, individuals and charities. As a result, funding is making a real difference in all sorts of ways, from enabling important building repairs so that groups can continue to meet, to purchasing vital equipment and providing entertainment and outings for clubs.

30 YearsWe’re proud to be celebrating 30 years this year, having grown from a single property development in 1987 to become one of the largest independent housebuilders in the area. Managing everything from property sales to our rental and maintenance service makes us a little different, but we believe it is our commitment to remaining local and serving the communities in which we also live and work that really sets us apart.
