Charity: Sophie’s Disco Danceathon for Children in Need
Wow. What an incredible 24 hours. Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s Kitchen Disco Danceathon had us up on our feet and feeling a little emotional as it came to an end.
The challenge was covered live on Radio 2, and it fell to a tearful Zoe Ball to announce that over £803,000 had been raised by the end of the challenge during the Zoe Ball Breakfast Show. Just 20 minutes later it had already exceeded over £915,000 and is expected to continue to increase over the next few days.
We always support this fantastic cause and chose to do so in Sophie’s name during her challenge this year, having been so inspired by her energy and commitment. It will make a profound difference for children across the UK. If you also wish to make a donation, please follow this link to bbcchildrenineed.co.uk
