Charity: Supporting the Local Community

The Park Lane Group’s Community Commitment Programme runs alongside and in addition to the community work surrounding our developments.
We continue to focus heavily on supporting local charities and communities, and are pleased to be providing hands on assistance, as well as our continued financial support. With this in mind, Moya, our Charity Liaison Officer is seconded full time to a number of charities throughout East Sussex, including The Matthew 25 Mission & Absolute Angels, Bexhill in the Community, St Wilfrids Hospice.
Recently, Moya has helped with the following:
- Helping the homeless at Absolute Angels and The Matthew 25 Mission by sorting through and pricing up donations of clothes, shoes, and various homeware.
- Moya has also been helping run the charity shop to raise much needed funds to run the Matthew 25 Mission. This money goes directly to feeding the homeless.
- Helping to feed 92 homeless people a hearty lunch, consisting of boiled potatoes, pies and vegetables.
- Supporting elderly residents currently in care in the community. Moya visits several elderly residents in local care homes to keep them company, which is very much Moya’s speciality!
- Helping at the Seaside Community Hub by weighing and bagging up food ready to give out to those struggling on low incomes.
- Assisting St Wilfrids Hospice in their IPU unit by serving patients breakfast and lunch, whilst keeping them company with a good nitter natter!
