Charity: Sponsoring a day of care for St. Wilfrids Hospice
Earlier this week, we were delighted to raise funds for St Wilfrids Hospice 40th anniversary year, by sponsoring a day of care for their facility in Eastbourne. Our generous donation funded a day of care for a patient at the award-winning In-Patient Unit, providing them with expert nursing and medical care, therapies, and spiritual and emotional support at a particularly difficult time.
We were absolutely blown away by the facilities and services on offer at the Hospice, with specialist equipment to ensure they make their patients feel as special as possible during their stay. Their mission is to transform end of life care for the people of Eastbourne, Seaford, Hailsham, Uckfield, Heathfield and all the points in between – and we can honestly say that they do just that! Not only have they paid great attention to their facilities, the team at St. Wilfrids are truly remarkable.
St. Wilfrids Hospice serve a population of 235,000 people covering an area of around 300 square miles. Their expert teams work to help people to live well until the end of their lives and to support their family and friends. They provide care in their 20-bed Inpatient Unit, through their Wellbeing service and increasingly, to families in their own homes.
They provide a plethora of care services, some of which include:
- Clinical Nurse Specialists
- Social Work & Family Support
- Care at Home
- Support for Carers
- Spiritual Support
- 24/7 Nurse Line
- Hospice at Home
To ensure that the Hospice can continue it’s incredible work, they rely heavily on sponsorship and gifted financial donations and we were delighted that we could assist with this. We look forward to continuing our work with St. Wilfrids.
