Charity: Larry’s Laps for St. Wilfrid’s Hospice
Larry Patching, a Quantity Surveyor here at The Park Lane Group, will be putting in the laps in his local swimming pool this March to raise money for St. Wilfrid’s Hospice.
He is aiming to complete 8km, which is the equivalent of swimming across the River Solent. A challenge he’s described as rather daunting as he isn’t a strong swimmer.
According to Larry, “It will be quite an achievement for me. And that makes it even more meaningful because it’s for such an important cause. I’m so grateful for the big donation The Park Lane Group have committed. It’s really got my sponsorship off to an amazing start.”

St. Wilfrid’s Hospice supports adults aged 18+ within its catchment area with any life-limiting illness. People can access their services at any stage of their condition, not just at the very end of their lives. The Hospice’s aims to see a community where people talk openly about dying, live well until the end of their life, and where nobody dies alone, afraid, or in pain.
